JFS offers a number of support groups to meet the needs of our community. All support groups are FREE and meet at the Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center, 7091 W. Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. Howard Horowitz, MSW facilitates the groups.

Bereavement Support Groups

For those in both the early and later stages of grieving the loss of a loved one.

Issues in Bereavement: Tuesday: 12: 30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. No Registration Required. FREE. Please call 561-852-3333.

Early Bereavement: Wednesday: 1:00 p.m. - 2: 30 p.m. in Delray. No Registration Required. FREE. Please call 561-852-3333.

Motherless Daughters: Monday at 6:30 - 7:30 pm starting 10/17/2011 group led by Eileen Lemelman, LCSW

Caregiver Support Groups

An on-going support group that provides as opportunity for caregivers to meet with others who understand the particular difficulties and challenges they face on a daily basis as a result of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other chronic medical conditions. Pre-registration for all Caregiver Groups is preferred, but not necessary. There is no fee for Caregiver Groups.
