Welcome Home Program and Drop-In Center for Individuals Living with Chronic Mental Illness and Their Families

The Welcome Home Program for individuals living with chronic mental illness provides an environment of encouragement and hope. Through socialization, mutual support and learning, consumers reach beyond the illness to rediscover the self as a valuable and whole person.  Family members are invited to attend our monthly support group.

The Welcome Home Drop-in Center is an empowerment program designed to help participants make decisions, access resources and achieve personal objectives. Activities such as topic-specific support groups, art projects, educational groups, and stress management, as well as monthly outings for dinner, movies, trips to museums, the zoo and other local venues, provide a wealth of opportunities for interaction.  Vocational and life skills training is an important part of the program..

The Drop-In Center is located at Temple Anshei Shalom, 7099 West Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33446 and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:30 to 4 PM.  Participants are free to come and go anytime we are open and can participate as much or as little as they choose.

There is no cost to participate in the Welcome Home program or its activities.  However, an interview is required before beginning the program.

The Support Group for families of the recovering mentally ill meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Anshei Shalom from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
