Dear Friends,
Welcome to the fall edition of our Illumination newsletter. This edition will focus on many of our dedicated volunteers who give their time and talents to help us expand our reach to assist others in need – THANK YOU! We strive to keep you up to date on happenings at the agency, via our monthly e-newsletters. If you are not currently receiving one, please send your email address to us at info@rrjfs.org.
In June over 340 Holocaust Survivors attended our biannual Café Europa event. Thank you to The Polo Club donors for adopting this project for the next three years. Happily, funding from the State of Florida and the Claims Conference continues for another year. This helps pay for case management, home care services, and emergency assistance that allow our treasured Survivors to age in place for as long as possible. Thank you to these funding partners for their on-going support of these programs.
Planning for the 2011 Annual Gala and Auction is underway, and is scheduled for December 8th at St. Andrews Country Club. Larry Phillips will receive the 2011 Ruth and Norman Rales Humanitarian of the Year Award. Please consider joining us for a wonderful Cuban inspired evening!
I hope that through this newsletter we will keep you updated on all the wonderful programs and services offered by Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service (JFS).
